- Redshears reflexes are as quick as lighting. No object thrown or shot at him hits the target and given chance Redshear is able to strike with his blades with incredible accuracy.
- Redshear is highly intelligent and years of thorough scientific research have provided him a vast knowledge over any sciences and weaponry as well.

Weaknesses:
-Being already aged, Redshear is not that agile and swift as he used to be when young. He gets tired quickly and heals slowly from injuries.

Other:
-Redshear holds great interest in organic substances - his goal is to find out whether Cybertronians could somehow benefit from organics and if synthetic energon could be produced with the help of lower sciences.
-The most efficient way to make Redshear shove you out of his lab and dislike you to no end, is to ask him about the scar he bears. There are yet no-one Redshear has agreed to tell where he got the scar from and why it was never repaired.

Personality:
Redshear is a dyed-in-the-wool hermit. For his part all the other creatures in the universe should just vanish so he could concentrate on what he loves the most - science. He doesn't mind days of desolation and only seeks the company of those he considers good conversationalists.

Even for those close to him Redshear is restrained and abrupt. He hardly ever smiles and gets annoyed by even the littlest of interruptions - which he makes clear with sarcastic, even mordant comments and a glare that usually makes even the toughest ones to let the scientist be. However Redshear is surprisingly patient. Never has anyone seen him lose his temper or raise his voice.

Story:
Redshear was the most promising young scientist ever to be allowed to join the highest research facility in Iacon. His intelligence and enthusiasm over science quickly provided him great appreciation in scientific field - yet not in his personal life. Being serious by mentality he never managed to make friends with his fellow co-workers, nor succeeded in impressing the opposite gender. Over time Redshear isolated himself from those around him, became grumpy and bitter, and hence difficult to work with. Even the start of the war didn't make him come out of his core and join the cause. He chose to remain neutral and ignore the events around him - until the events quitted ignoring him.

Relationships:

-Blackbullet: As Decepticons attacked the research facility Redshear was working in and burned the place to dust - it was Blackbullet who literally dragged the last reluctant scientist out of the lab saving his life. To begin with Redshear hated the fact that he owed his life to the Autobot, yet he didn't have other options but to join Blackbullets team. However over time the duo befriended. Blackbullet is the only one whose teasing doesn't annoy Redshear and one of those few who are able to make Redshear crack jokes.

-Mercury: Redshear was utterly displeased when Blackbullet decided to take the young mechling as his trainee. The scientist considered the youngling the most annoying creature alive. All the noise Mercury caused drove Redshear off the wall and he did his best to avoid the kid - but to no avail. For Mercury had somehow become fond of the elder mech and was endlessly interested in what Redshear was doing - especially when it came to science. Even though the mechling hit his nerves, Redshear spotted some potential in him and eventually agreed on taking Mercury into training to learn more of science. And through the years the grumpy scientist actually grew fond of the joyful mech.

Redshear was one of those characters who just appeared on paper and has been pleasant to work with from the very beginning (though shading red is a pain in the aft XD).
He was supposed to be just a random side character but the other day I had this random blast of inspiration - and I planned his whole life-story all at once.
Which is quite juicy I say...
