Nope.... no no no no nooo
I'm not going to even start with all the "I'm so sorry about ..."s this time
Yeah I'm late with everything, I'm absent like a ghost, I failed inktober and I don't even dare to mention commissions or my this year's resolutions ... however I refuse to bother you with worming around
because I HAVE REASONS!
MY HOME IS A MESS!
So I moved out of my parents' and into my NEW LOVELY RENOVATED ADORABLE COMFY APARTMENT
three weeks ago - and it's all still a chaos! Most of my new furniture are yet to arrive so I'm living in the middle of this
tetris-puzzle of unpacked boxes, stuff without places to put them and stuff I don't know where to put. Heck I don't even have a kitchen table.
Quite a lot of my free time has actually been spent hunting for furniture and/or picking up stuff that I need form stores all over the city.
So it's a huge work in progress, but I should be able to get most of the stuff organized by Christmas. Pictures may only happen after I clean stuff up
I said things would easen up after I move out ... well I kinda lied or I just didn't take work into account.
For I've been working my ass off - basically 6 days a week for last two months. There would actually be more temporary teacher posts than I'm able to do plus additional weekend workshops I've been running.
I just survived 2½ weeks with a crazy bunch of 6th graders. It's awesome and all but rather tiring and with all the mess going on at home I'm very low on energy when it comes to everything else.
Thirdly apologies will not happen because
I HAVE SOME MARVELOUS NEWS!!
As you know I'm a substitute teacher in both art and regular subjects in primary school - meaning I don't have a permanent job or position in any school, but I go to whichever school
happens to call me first in need of a substitute teacher. Some posts last only a day, some few days and some couple of weeks, but basically my timetable is very unpredictable.
On paper I'm practically unemployed.
HOWEVER just last week I got a call that confirmed that I was hired as an ART TEACHER FOR THE NEXT WHOLE SPRING! Starting in January!
It's the longest substitute post this far and a HUGE win win for both my cv and my wallet! For the first time after my graduation I will actually be employed! Yeeee
This will mean spring will be busy; long days at work, TONS of new things to learn and adjust to BUT it also means stability, fixed timetables
and hence more efficient art time (I hope). The job is in junior-high, but the school is familiar to me and very nice in general. So for better or for worse the 2018 is already looking promising. With this new spot I'll even be able to have a full summer vacation!
Bear with me a little while longer - I have such huge pile of wips that I want to finish and share with you guys!
I will dive right into them next week! And for commissions as well! The few commissioners of mine - you have been so awesomely patient with me! I'll make it up to you I promise!
The rest of you - tell me how're you doing
